Frequently Asked Questions
Thank you for your inquiry into our products and services.
Here are a few of the commonly asked questions we receive
when meeting with prospective sponsors.
A. Please go to the Schedule Page for
a complete listing of all available venues and fighters.
If you need more specific pricing, please contact
our marketing department at marketing@bigboxing.com.
They can customize packages to meet your budget.
A. In most cases, we need 10 days to complete
a sponsorship request. This goes for tattoos as well
as events. If needed, we can accomplish many things
in lesser time, but for the best quality work, we
need 10 days.
A. We have contracted with almost
every major promoter and fighter, worldwide, in order
to fulfill the special requests of our clients. If
you have a particular event or fighter you desire,
worldwide, in most cases fulfill your needs.
Each event differs based on one simple rule. The
more money a fighter receives to fight, the more money
he is going to request from his sponsors. In the same
respect, if a promoter receives a large purse for
a fight card, then sponsor prices go up accordingly.
To counteract this trend, we contract with the opponent
in most major fights. For example: By tattooing or
sponsoring the opponent of Fernando Vargas, your company
saves money and receives the same exposure for the
same bout. You can see many examples of this in our
Photo Section
A. We refer to the term VIEWERS as HOUSEHOLDS
VIEWING the event. Every rating depends on the fight
card and the station, but here is a general rule to
follow:
• HBO/Pay Per
View averages over 2 million viewers for the
live broadcasts and over 10 million on the repeats
over the course of 7 days.
• Showtime
averages over 1 million viewers and over 5 million
for Mike Tyson fights. In repeats Showtime averages
over 3 million in the course of one
week.
• ESPN Friday
Night Fights averages around 750,000 viewers
and over one million for special events.
• Fox Sunday Fights
have had up and down ratings between 300,000 and 500,000
viewers for thier live or tape recorded shows.
• Telefutura and
HBO Latino average over one million viewers
for the live showing of the events.
A. When the fighters are introduced on television,
before the bout, the announcer will say something
of this nature " Don King Promotions, in conjunction
with Budweiser, the king of beers, Crazy Vegas Casino,
your premier online casino and HBO are proud to present
the main event of the evening.” You can be one
of the names mentioned as a sponsorship option.
All prices will be reduced based on amount of
options, events and fighters you have selected. Our
package deals are not only more affordable, but they
create more opportunity for signage. By combining
multiple fights or creating a team of fighters, your
sponsorship dollar goes a long way.
Millions of eyes never lie. The math is very simple.
Since the beginning of time, boxing audiences has
been spenders. They like to spend a lot of money and
have the income to do so. Boxing fans are also very
loyal as well. Gillette found this out in the beginning
of televised fights by sponsoring the first fight
series. People still remember the sponsorship to this
day. We encourage you to review the website. You will
see the many companies that have made a name for themselves
using boxing as a medium. I am sure that you will
recognize a few.
Advertising with a boxer is definitely a two way
street. The extra incomes the boxers receive from
your sponsorship make a world of difference. You must
remember, the men and woman who box for a living get
punched in the face to earn a paycheck. Every nickel
they make is earned through pain. The money they earn
is because they are good people with a positive image
and worthy of a sponsorship. In addition, most fighters
give the sponsors a right to their image for one year.
This will give them further recognition that can lead
to additional financial opportunities outside the
ring. As you can clearly see, your sponsorship means
a lot.
Simply contact us by email or phone. Please be
prepared with your budgets and goals for your company
or product. Remember, no goal is too big and no budget
is too small.
Absolutely. Remember
this, not all boxers cost the same or go to contract
when you request them. For most boxers, we need a
minimum of ten days and a maximum of three weeks to
successfully create your campaign. We do not have
letters of repsentation for every fighter in the world.
But, through our professional affiliations though
the past five years, no one else in the industry has
an open door to every fighter in the same capacity
that we do. We can get everyone, but they do not cost
the same. For example, to sponsor a champion costs
a lot more than to sponsor a contender . Both fighters
do not cost the same if they happen to be fighting
each other, but they do have the same audience. Bernard
Hopkins may cost ten times the amount of Robert Allen
to sponsor, but the bottom line is that the same people
are watching both fighters at the same time. In essence,
your value would lie in Robert Allen. You get the
same exposure for a lot less sponsorship money! The
goal is to get the exposure you want when it is available.
Your guarantee of success is far greater than
both fighters entering the ring. In the fighter's
case, either one could lose. In your case, you cannot
lose. Most national boxing broadcasts are either on
HBO pay per view or Showtime. There is no official
advertising on those channels, which makes you one
of the fortunate select few that can advertise. In
the case of Fox Sports and ESPN Bouts, commercial
time for those networks is mostly regional. By being
in the middle of the action, your advertising is not
only national, but also international. Don't forget,
when a fight card is replayed, the same commercials
rarely show up. Your advertising will always show
up every time the fight is shown. Think of the "thrilla
in manilla"fight, could you imagine the value of a
back tattoo advertisement during that event. It is
obvious that it would have been priceless. That is
our guarantee of success.
In the past, we have done deals with companies
for trade or as low as $200. On the other hand, some
of our more costly and rare occasions, had been sold
for hundred of thousands even millions of dollars.
Everything would depend on the size and scope of your
advertising campaign and budget. Regardless of the
price, our goal is to show value. For every dollar
a sponsor invests, our focus is for them to recoup
that money. In other words, to get back much more
than they initionally invested.
When we receive questions of this nature, we assume
the sponsors who are advertising with us are based
on return on investment, more than product branding.
That being the case, we always recommend that the
sponsor create a brand new phone number, url, or other
specific code, which can be used to directly track
how effective, was the campaign. A perfect example
would be from our long time client SBG Global. They
have used multiple urls and phone numbers in every
campaign in order to effectively track their campaign
traffic. To date, a few of the new urls, which have
been used exclusively in our boxing campaigns, are
rivaling the old existing urls that have been used
for years. Our innovative advertising technique utilizes
new methods of exposure that work, period!
Funny you ask. We actually tested the waters in
the State of Nevada Circuit Court. The Nevada State
Athletic Commission voted unanimously, to ban all
tattoo advertising in the state. In only 45 minutes,
the courts decided in our favor that tattoo advertising
is a first amendment right that is protected under
the constitution of the United States of America.
And therefore, permently prohibited the Nevada State
Athletic Commission from banning the back tattoo.
Thus, setting legal precedent over our ways and means
of successfully advertising on the backs of our fighters.

Yes, of course. We were key in bringing companies
into other foreign markets. For example, justdofit.com
was successfully introduced into the British market
through sponsoring boxing events. At the same time,
more traditional boxing establishments, e.g. Grant
boxing, has supplied the majority of boxing equipment
for all top boxers, have used our service to open
up markets in Europe, South America and Australia.
There are no borders that our advertising can't cross.
We are always looking for professional partnerships,
effective marketers, on site promotion managers, street
teams, individuals who think outside the box as well
as traditional marketers. We have several profit sharing
arrangements available. Please contact us at legal@bigboxing.com
for more information.

We are always looking for fighters who would be
perfect matches for our sponsors. It is extremely
important that you be of good character and heart
for our company to be able to get you a sponsor. You
would need to send us your name, and details of your
next fight. Please contact us by phone or email so
we may begin our business relationship. One important
thing to remember, we need time to place you with
the right sponsor. Please do not contact us on a Tuesday
when your fight is that Saturday. We need a minimum
of a month to make all of the necessary arrangements.
Feel free to contact our president directly at president@bigboxing.com.
